The EFOD Collaborative is a multiracial coalition and growing community of practice of community-anchored food systems practitioners and leaders.
Our unified efforts are dedicated to resourcing, supporting, and connecting locally powered food initiatives across the U.S., strengthening resilience and sustainable growth in diverse communities.
Together, we drive food-oriented development as a means of shared power, cultural expression, and building community assets.

NON-EXTRACTIVE CAPITAL
In 2020, the Collaborative launched the EFOD Fund to provide a distinct approach within the ecosystem of community-controlled funds.
Our fund offers a non-extractive alternative to traditional funding models, built on a foundation that values the lived experiences of community practitioners as essential expertise. The EFOD Fund is dedicated to addressing community needs in culturally relevant and collaborative ways, while acknowledging and confronting the deep legacies of wealth inequity that continue to impact local food practitioners.
